I have just read an inspirational story posted by For the Love of My Dogs blog about a new rescue organization dedicated to saving unwanted shelter puppies and dogs and placing them in forever homes.

Founders Sarah Lewis and Abbey Sloan have already saved more than 20 dogs from local shelters and hope to save many more with Halfway There Rescue.

I have just read an inspirational story about Tyra.

Tyra recently went completely blind in about two days.

She knows that she can’t see but rather than waste time feeling sorry for herself, she is, instead, working on learning what she needs to learn to carry on.

I have just read a wonderful good news story from For the Love of My Dogs blog..

This story tells us about Sony, a Schnauzer, who was dumped at a high-kill shelter.

When Deanna from For the Love of My Dogs blog heard about this she sprang into action!

Earlier today, when I was performing my roving reporter duties, I stopped off at the pet shop for supplies and saw this beautiful 5 month old kitten.

The shop owner told the tall person and De that she had rescued the kitten from the streets shortly after it was born.

That is good news! What a lovely lady.

Earlier today I shared a story from one of my favorite blogs, Dog House Forever.

Whilst undertaking my journalistic research I discovered another gem in the Dog House Forever archive.

Reading this makes you realise that canine poetry is alive and kicking and very funny!

This wonderful blog runs a series of interviews called Dog Treats.

The most recent interview is about Sarah, an active volunteer in dog rescue, and Scarlet, a white and tan Pit Bull.

Thanks to Sarah, Scarlet now lives a happy life but it wasn’t always like that.

It’s been a while since my last broadcast.

Whatever happened to good news?

I finally found some! I was very pleased today to hear of some excellent news. My great blogging friend Jodi recently welcomed her nephew home from Afghanistan.

Welcome home SSG Stevenson and his comrades in the 368th!
