I’m sure there is someone who could still pick you up, but it would not be the same or even close. My Newfs, especially will come over every once in a while and sit on my lap to cuddle. Yes they are extremely heavy, but it gives them that very close feeling they use to have being picked up.
I bet the tall person could pick you up if he puts his mind to it. Maybe he could go to the gym for a few months to prepare. Or maybe you should jump on him and see what happens. That’s what I do when I want Mom to hold me.
