On my walk through the neighborhood this morning I saw the house that is held up by sticks. Tall person had been worried about it, especially as we had felt the after shocks of a recent 5.8 magnitude earthquake in neighboring Azerbaijan. The tremors had rippled through our house but no damage was caused.
At the time, tall person thought it was the vibrations caused by me rythmically thumping my paw on the floor when I scratch. I must admit the floor does shake when I do that.
Anyway, I am pleased to report that the house that is held up with sticks is still standing, despite the earthquake and my periodic 5.8 magnitude scratching.
Earthquakes must be scary, not for me of course, I just worry about Jess and Alf and how they’d be scared.
Wow! It is amazing it held up isnt it? We have those big shaking moments too when Smoke scratches…… Hopefully they will get the house fixed soon!
Wow Bassa, I don’t think I would feel safe in a stone house that was held up by sticks! Is there anything else they can do for the house?
I don’t think anything more can be done Jodi. There is a huge vertical crack in the wall.
I hope you don’t get an itch when you’re passing by that stick house. Yikes.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Does someone still live in that house? Doesn’t look very safe!
Those sticks don’t seem like they are going to be much help if you crank it up to a 6.0 magnitude scratching session, Bassa.
Most interesting set up. I hope those sticks do the trick.
By the way, Bassa, you might want to add a link on your page to the Tall Person’s new blog, just to make it easier to find. I’m sure he’d appreciate that. 😉
Sweet Bassa we are sure happy all is well at your place after the earthquake and scratching. Glad to see the house that is held up with sticks is still standing too. Happy scratching but no more earthquakes we hope. Hugs and nose kisses
That looks like a beautiful house with lots of history. I hope they keep the structure! And I hope it’s safe to live in still, if people are living there.
