My neighborhood is irresistible to giant insects and I often find abnormally large bees, wasps and beetles in my house and yard. I have learned to avoid them but my kitten, Barnaby, is curious and likes to catch them and play with them.
The reason he hasn’t been stung yet is probably due to prompt intervention by the tall person.
He recently confiscated this huge wasp from Barnaby and trapped it in a wine glass.
I showed the draft of this post to the tall person and he said it’s a pity that the photos aren’t sharper but I would have to excuse him because he suddenly had an urge for a cool soda.
He went off to the kitchen, humming “The Real Thing”.
Hmm, I’m looking forward to receiving my commission check Mr. Cola Man.
Humans are so suggestible, aren’t we, Bassa.
Yes you are Shary 🙂 Are you feeling thirsty? 🙂
LOL Bassa. Does the tall person know how bad soda is for him? I eliminated soda a number of years ago and haven’t missed it at all!
Look at you go with your subliminal messaging – I am beyond impressed!!!
Holy cow, that wasp is huge!
Once again, Bassa, I am impressed by your Tall Person’s courage. That bee looks like a horse. Thank goodness he rescued Barnaby before something ugly happened!
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Wow! Way to go Tall Person! I remember…. “I’d like to teach the world to sing, in perfect harmony, I’d like to buy the world a coke…….” LOL… wow I remember it now… Great post!
Your friends,
the puzzled collies and the ear wormed chuck 🙂
That sure is a big ole’ wasp! I hope DeDe don’t see it… she’d try to eat it!
Bassa, funny you should talk about wasps. I had one in my home last week and went hysterical trying to get rid of it. But mine wasn’t as big as yours. Yikes!
They really are huge here Monica! Tall person is not afraid of wasps and catches them and releases them outside.
OK that is a little to big for our liking! EEkk!!
Lots of slobbers,
Lexi and Jasper the Danes
WOW Bassa…that wasp looks HUGE…SHE’S scared of little itty bitty bugs, that would have freaked HER out completely!
Beetles and wasps and bees, oh my! I hope Barnaby doesn’t have to learn the hard way to leave them alone!
