On my walk this morning I found this wonderful wooden tribute to a vegetarian Great White shark.
There was no plaque so I can only asssume that the vegetarian Great White wants to remain anonymous. I’m not surprised. He or she must face extraordinary peer pressure from other Great Whites and also endure a lot of teasing from marine mammals.
Perhaps the best selling novel Jaws by Peter Benchley and the subsequent blockbuster movie by Steven Spielberg may not have been as popular if all Great White sharks much preferred to munch on a summer vegetable terrine or root vegetable and mushroom pie with rosemary biscuit topping.
