I was just resting my eyes!

The tall person told me that under controlled laboratory conditions both cats and dogs sleep about 13 hours per day but they wake up more frequently than people do. He said that how much and when pets sleep varies enormously depending on the social and physical environment.

Hmm, since my kitten, Barnaby, arrived I have had much less sleep. He always wants to play when I want to sleep.

I think I am suffering from sleep deprivation.

I told the tall person about my problem and he said I was being silly.

To prove it he showed me some pictures that he says clearly prove I am not suffering from sleep deprivation.

Call that evidence? I was just resting my eyes!

  1. Bassa – That is why we put the kittens in their own room at night or they will keep everyone up. They run around and play and the rest of us sleep. Maybe tall person has somewhere B-cat can go for a while at night. Sleep tight – Lulu Belle

    • I was quoting a study Jodi. It pointed out that the environment has a big impact on how much dogs sleep. It may be that working dogs get less sleep. Dogs left alone all day probably sleep more. How much sleep do you think your dogs get?

  2. I get plenty of naps, but I’m always listening and I bet you are, too. It’s a lot of work to watch over a house and family.

  3. Bassa we believe you were just resting your eyes. Tell your tall person you need beauty sleep if he expects you to keep all you activities. Great “relaxation” photos.

  4. Plus Humans do not understand that having had after resting our eyes (while staying fully alert to all goings on) we need to have a recovery nap, before we snooze and then finally tire ourselves out catching those pesky zzz’s – which are always getting away!

Make me tired just thinking about it!!! *yawn* may go for a quick snooze
