The tall person always watches BBC World News and even has the app on his phones so that he can catch up on world events when he is out.
I often watch the news with him but have noticed that not much of it is happy news. It is often about war and disaster and disagreement and economic problems.
I thought about this and have decided to launch my own news channel, also called the BBC – short for Bassa’s Blogging Channel.
This might be a little confusing so I am hoping that the BBC World News runs a caption explaining that it is not Bassa’s Blogging Channel.
Bassa’s Blogging Channel will focus on happy news and funny stories that I have read on my friends blogs over the last few days.
Okay, this is my first broadcast.
Good evening and welcome to BBC news.
There has been lots of good news over the last few days and I would like to highlight one item that is sure to bring a smile to your face. It is written by my blogging friend Monica who came into some luck recently.

That’s the end of the news – brought to you by the BBC (Bassa’s Blogging Channel)
Aah, great idea!
Thank you Dianda. I think there should be more good news broadcast because millions of good things happen every day.
Jen has that app on her phone too. But I think I like your BBC news better!
Thank you Rumpy. Tall person also has CNN and Sky News apps – he likes the news!
Great news story, Bassa! I received a settlement check for $0.09 US the other day. Can you just imagine how much it cost to issue a paltry check like that? I had to laugh!
I think it is one of the reasons why the world is in such a financial mess – there is no common sense!
Bassa, you are so smart to come up with this BBC alternative, and I am most honored that your first story is about my class action suits! It won’t be long now before the other BBC will have to start giving a disclaimer that it’s not Bassa’s Blogging Channel. I predict that pretty soon, everyone who know turns to them for the news, will be coming to you!
Thanks again, Bassa! You and your tall person make an amazing news team!
I am pleased that you like it Monica. I thought your post was very funny 🙂
You are very sweet, Bassa. I would hug you if you weren’t so far away! 😉
Thank you Monica, I am imagining a virtual hug! 🙂
Sweet Bassa we like your idea. We really enjoyed reading Monica’s blog too. It was funny and a very fun read. Hugs and nose kisses
Thank you Chancy, Mumsy and Crew! Big hugs!! 🙂
Thanks for the link to Monica’s post, Bassa! Very funny! And I love your BBC alternative!
I am pleased you liked Monica’s post. She is funny and a very good writer 🙂
GG (that’s what I call you Bassa – Gorgeous Girl) – I love the BBC alternative…much better to read happy, funny stories than the depressing news from the “other” BBC.
GG? I love it! Thank you!! I am very pleased you like the new BBC – I will be posting happy news! 🙂
I love it Bassa! BBC!!! Your tall person will like to know I grew up listening to shortwave radio and loved the BBC. I can still here the music at the top of the hour and Big Ben chiming. 🙂 I listen on the net to the BBC now, but its not the same, I think your tall person will know what I mean. I look forward to more BBC broadcasts from Georgia! 🙂 Love your blog for everyday makes us smile and laugh! 🙂
God Bless You!
Chuck and the Collies 🙂
Tall person does remember listening to the BBC news on the radio and agrees that it was the best! I am pleased you like my new news channel 🙂 God bless!
Bassa, I love your idea for BBC – we can all use good news! I’ll definitely watch your channel! 🙂 And I agree with Deborah – you are a gorgeous girl!
Thank you Laurie! 🙂
Bassa, your BBC channel is great. If everybody only posted happy news then people would do happy things in order to get on the news.
I think you are right Bongo. Millions of happy things happen every day but not many get reported.
Hello Bassa! We have heard many nice things about you from Bongo’s Dog Blog and Iowa Dog Blog. You are so beautiful! We’re following you and look forward to reading more and seeing more beautiful pics. Cute post– I like your version of BBC 😉

Thank you Humphrey! I much prefer to hear happy news 🙂
I like your version of the news better!
Thank you Jodi, there will be more happy news soon on my BBC 🙂
Great idea Bassa! You need a catchy sign-off to your BBC broadcasts, though – something like “until next time, may your fur stay shiny and your tail wag high!” Just a suggestion!
